Norges-vennen Senia Abderahman ga premiepengene til Støttekomiteen.
Etter at Senia Abderahman studerte to år på Red Cross Nordic United World Colleges på Fjaler i Norge, begynte hun på Mount Holyoke College i USA.
Der har hun nå vunnet hele tre priser:
The Weissman Center Leadership Award for Excellence
This award recognizes the commitment to the ideals and goals of the Weissman Center as demonstrated through passionate and critical engagement in one or more of its programs.
McCulloch Center Global Engagement Award
This award is given for outstanding commitment to raising awareness of critical global issues across campus and beyond.
The Kelly Sottile Community Service Award
This award honors students who demonstrate a high level of personal commitment to the community beyond the campus. A contribution is made, by the Kelly Sottile '08 Fund, to the charity of their choice. Senia har fått prisene hovedsakelig for sitt arbeid for å opplyse om saharawienes rett til selvbestemmelse i USA.

Senia har også fortalt historien sin flere ganger i mediene i USA. Klippet over er områdets viktigste avis, Daily Hampshire Gazette.
Prisen fra McCulloch Center fikk hun for å "raising awareness about refugee life and of the plight of the people of the Western Sahara, in the international community, on campus, and in her own community. At Mount Holyoke College, Senia has greatly increased our understanding of the struggles of refugees, in particular of the people of the Western Sahara."
De berømmer henne også for å ha arbeidet for flyktningene i leirene, ved å sette opp sattellitt-telefontilgang, og ved å gi engelskundervisning for kvinner i leirene.
