A delegation consisting of representatives from eight Norwegian youth parties visited the Saharawi refugee camps in Algeria during the last week of January 2025.

The group met with representatives of the local authorities, civil society, and UN organizations in the camps.

The Norwegian youth parties hold a strong position in defense of human rights in the territory and demand that the Saharawi people must be allowed to freely decide the future of their country in accordance with international law.

The delegation reflects the consensus among Norwegian political parties on Western Sahara: representatives of all nine parties are present in the Norwegian Parliament's intergroup for Western Sahara.
