Kosmos Energy has been named "Explorer of the Year" by the World Junior Oil & Gas Congress. Nobody mentioned it is operating illegally in occupied waters offshore Western Sahara.

December 11th, Texas based oil company Kosmos Energy announced it is named as "Explorer of the Year" by the oil business.

The award is given to the company after it had discovered a major oil field offshore Ghana,according to a comapny press release today. 

Paul Dailly, Kosmos Senior VP, Exploration, accepted the award in London on behalf of the company. 

"At Kosmos, we apply the highest technical and professional standards to our exploration efforts and believe this creates the environment to replicate success", said James Musselman, Kosmos chairman and CEO. 

The chairman did not mention anything about ethical standards.

In addition to having an illegal contract with Moroccan state oil company ONHYM in the occupied Western Sahara, Kosmos Energy also has agreements with Equatorial Guinea, one of Africa's worst dictatorships.
