El Ouali transferred -but to wrong prison
Political prisoner El Ouali Amidane was end of September transferred to a new prison -but he is still not given permission to study.

Late one evening, he was told that he was to be transferred, just as he had demanded.

But he was very surprised as he arrived his new prison in Morocco. He did not arrive in Ait Melloul where he can study. In stead he got to know that he had ended up in a local prison in Taroudant. There it is not study either -just like in El Aaiun.

El Ouali's family was noticed of the transfer after it had happened.

UN body calls for the release of imprisoned Saharawi student

In a decision published yesterday, the UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention concludes that the detention of the Saharawi student and human rights defender Al-Hussein Al-Bachir Ibrahim is arbitrary. The UN Working Group called on Morocco to immediately release him from the deplorable prison conditions.
