2nd of March 2008, a semi-marathon was arranged in Fjaler, north of Bergen, in solidarity with the Sahrawi refugees.

Winner of the semi-marathon was Erik Fendik from Slovakia, running on 1h 28min. Best female runner was Lisa Bjerke from Sweden.

The annual event is arranged by United World Colleges in Fjaler, Norway, in solidarity with the Sahrawi refugees from Western Sahara.

Two Norwegians Are Now Being Deported from Occupied Western Sahara

Two more Norwegians, who travelled to occupied Western Sahara to learn about Morocco’s controversial energy projects in the territory, were detained by Moroccan police this afternoon and deported.
